Don't worry if you've never surfed before - all the essentials are included to make the whole experience and effort that much more pleasurable. Most importantly, it is essential to have some good tuition. That's why we include 3 free lessons included in the price of your holiday to Messanges. Any surfer will tell you that good tuition in the early stages is worth its weight in gold and can save hours of untutored learning.

It also makes sense to learn where the conditions are consistently good. Our holidays take place in south west France about an hour north of Biarritz. This stretch of coast is well known for its excellent conditions both in the white water for beginners and on the breaking waves for those more advanced. This area holds many international competitions during the course of the summer.

Lessons are available to anyone over 7 years old.  You should be able to swim 50m in open water and have a reasonable level of fitness.

All lessons include board and wetsuit - everything you need to get started!
