Beach towels are provided in our Club Active centre in Turkey A small deposit is required and this is payable locally.
- Which rooms can fit a cot?
In all resorts you need to request any cots at the time of booking All of the suites in Turkey can take a cot. All of the accommodation we work with in Southwest France can take a cot. Cots will fit into all of the rooms in Jersey.
- Is it possible to hire a wetsuit?

Wetsuits and windsurf harnesses are available to rent in Turkey, prices are approx £15 per week for a wetsuit and £15 per week for a harness (deposit also required). In other resorts (such as SW France and Jersey) wetsuits are provided free of charge with the included surf lessons.
- Are there shops on site?

In Club Active Tamarisk there is a shop which offers a range of merchandise. These are generally items which we feel may be of use to you during your holiday. Examples of what's on offer are:
- sailing gloves
- water bottles
- sunglasses retainers
- t-shirts
- rash vests
- suncream
- caps
- wetsuit boots
- RYA publications
- board shorts
- I have booked my child in for MACs/JACs - will they be doing watersports activities?
MACs, for children of 5 - 7yrs, will include some basic sessions of watersports - this will probably be a mixture of pool games, kayaking and windsurf board games with occasional sailing joy rides if conditions allow.
JACs is for children aged 8 - 12 yrs and will include taster sessions of sailing and windsurfing.
- Do I need to pre-book my children into childcare?
We always advise you to book childcare in advance in order to guarantee a place as spaces are limited, especially during school holidays. You can book childcare on arrival in resort but this will be subject to availability.
- I have my own insurance policy. Do I need to take out the one offered by Crystal Active too?
No, but you must check the details of your insurance to ensure that you are covered for all of the sports you intend to participate in. Our policy has been designed with the activities in mind and this is not necessarily the case with every insurance policy.
- I am travelling to Turkey where the board basis is B&B. Where are the nearest restaurants for lunch and dinner?

There is a hotel snack bar and restaurant, a perfect place for lunch and dinner. Right next door you will find the beach bars and restaurants of 'Palovera' and 'Dalga'. There is a selection of sea food restaurants further along the stretch of the Ortakent beach front known as Yahsi. The nearby resort of Bitez has many restaurants to choose from and is just 5 minutes away by taxi (8YTL).
- How easy is it to get out and about once I am in resort?

At Club Active Tamarisk you can take out one of the bikes to explore the local area - just pop along to see your Bike Rep to organise this. The 'dolmus' is a small bus which operates from the centre of Bodrum to many of the surrounding resorts and villages. There are no bus stops, you simply hop on and off the 'dolmus' on its selected route. Taxis can be easily booked at the hotel and you will never fail to miss a taxi in the local area with its luminous yellow colour.
Nothing is too far away in Jersey whichever hotel you have chosen to stay in. Transport to and from the activities is available to book at £3 each way. You can pre-book this or book in resort. There is also an excellent bus service and you can get a day pass for approx £6.

- What currency should I take?
The currency in Turkey is the New Turkish Lira (YTL). All local shops and restaurants will take the New Turkish Lira. Most excursions and activities are charged in Sterling and can be paid for with cash in either Sterling or in YTL (at the daily exchange rate). Please note it is difficult to exchange Travellers Cheques in Turkey. The hotel accepts cash and credit cards (Visa/Maestro) to pay for hotel bills. There nearest cash point is available in the nearby resort of Bitez.
France uses the Euro and there are cash points on site in Messanges. Credit cards are widely accepted.
The currency is Jersey is pound sterling and there are cash points in St Helier.
- Do Crystal Active offer excursions as well as activities?

Your Crystal Active Rep will provide you with details of what you can do and see in the local area and can book you onto a variety of excursions. From Ortakent you can visit Ephesus, one of the world's best preserved archaeological sites and one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, or spend a day on a traditional Turkish gulet. Also worth a visit is Pamukkale, the spectacular water filled formations which have evolved over thousands over years and are said to have therapeutic properties.
- Do I need to have any vaccinations before I travel?
There are no particular vaccinations recommended for any of the areas we brochure however as with any activities it is always a good idea to ensure your tetanus vaccination is up to date.
- Are there any age restrictions on watersports activities?
Beginner sailing and windsurfing tuition is available to anyone who is 13 yrs or over, younger children can participate in some sailing and kayaking if accompanied by a parent. Children aged 8 yrs or above who are deemed competent sailors or windsurfers by our instructors may be able to free sail but special measures may apply. The MACs & JACs for 5 to 12 yr olds also offers a fun and varied programme of activities including watersports. Full details on age restrictions are available from a member of our reservations team.
- When will I receive my tickets?
Tickets are usually issued 3 weeks before the date of travel. If you have booked a holiday closer to the departure date you may need to collect your tickets from the airport.
- When and where do I sign up for all the activities?

On arrival your Crystal Active Rep will give you details of the activity briefing (usually held later that day or first thing the following morning). At the briefing the Instructors will cover safety procedures and also explain how to sign up for each of the activities.
- Are sailing lessons included in the holiday cost?

- Is all equipment, including life jackets, provided?

Yes, all equipment is provided.
- Will there be a representative on hand at the resort?
There will be a representative in all our resorts who will be on hand to answer any questions that you or your party have.

All our Club Active resorts have been hand picked for there excellent sailing conditions.
- Are you recognised by the Royal Yacht Association (the RYA)?

A £10 entry visa is required for Turkey, which is paid on arrival in Sterling.
